A Career Rooted in Advocacy
For over 20 years, Patrice Sterling has been a voice for those who struggle to find their own. As a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), Patrice has spent her career in the trenches of healthcare and education. She has worked side-by-side with children and adults navigating complex speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
Through her clinical work, Patrice didn't just see patients and students —she saw families fighting for the quality of life their loved ones deserved.
From Clinical Expert to Compassionate Provider
While Patrice loved her time in clients’ homes, assisted living facilities and schools, she noticed a recurring gap in the system: the need for high-quality, clinical-grade care that doesn't feel clinical. She saw that individuals with developmental disabilities thrived best when their care was personalized, respectful and delivered in a familiar environment.
Sterling AT HOME is the realization of Patrice’s vision. It is the culmination of two decades of expertise, designed to bridge the gap between professional medical advocacy and the warmth of home-based support.
The Patrice Sterling Standard
When you choose Sterling AT HOME, you are choosing a company built on Patrice’s foundational belief: society has a moral responsibility to provide exceptional care to those who cannot care for themselves.
Patrice brings a unique "SLP lens" to home care, ensuring that:
Communication is Priority: Every resident's "voice" is heard, regardless of their verbal ability.
Safety is Paramount: Specialized knowledge in swallowing and cognitive disorders ensures a higher level of safety at home.
Integrity is Non-Negotiable: Every care plan is built on the same advocacy Patrice has provided for the last 20 years.
"I spent 20 years advocating for my patients in the healthcare system. Now, I’m bringing that same fight and expertise directly into your home. This isn't just a business for me—it’s a calling." — Patrice Sterling
